Dr. Randall Brown

Dr. Randall Brown

Pediatrician

Dr. Brown joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2001. After graduating cum laude with a degree in chemistry from Miami University, Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Kosair Children's Hospital. Dr. Brown is active at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a Private Pediatrician board member and serves on an advisory council. Dr. Brown is an avid golfer and a dedicated youth sports coach. He and his wife, Emily, are busy with their three children, ages 11, 15, and 17. Dr. Brown also serves on multiple advisory boards.

Dr. Irene Koesters

Pediatrician

Dr. Koesters just celebrated 20 years at Olentangy Pediatrics. Her patient families often call her Dr. K. She is known for the 'birdie' sound she makes when she looks in ears. She has been recognized as Best Doctors in America for 20 consecutive years. Dr. K's specific interests are mental/ behavioral health and dermatology (rashes). After graduating summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in biology, she attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine. She received her medical degree in 2001 and completed her residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital in 2004. She has 3 teenagers who are active in sports and music. Dr. K enjoys the outdoors and travel very much. She hikes, camps, climbs mountains, runs ultra marathons, and gardens. She also enjoys singing and playing drums and guitar. Dr. Koesters is passionate about teaching young people who are interested in medicine. She is first generation Greek-American and speaks Greek fluently.

Dr. Eileen Maher

Dr. Eileen Maher

Pediatrician

Dr. Maher is a graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated cum laude. Dr. Maher completed her pediatric residency at Columbus Children's Hospital. She has practiced pediatrics in Columbus since the completion of her residency. She lives in the northwest Columbus area with her husband, William Maher, and is the mother of three grown children. Dr. Maher enjoys being involved with the postpartum support group (POEM) as well as the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). She is at the gym or reading a good book in her spare time.

Dr. Autumn O'Brien

Dr. Autumn O'Brien

Pediatrician

Dr. O'Brien is a true Buckeye! Originally from Akron, she graduated from OSU in 1991 with a Biology degree and again in 1995 with her medical degree. She completed a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at OSU and Nationwide Children's Hospital in 1999. She worked as an internist and pediatrician at an OSU clinic in Grandview before joining our practice in 2009, and has recently celebrated her 25th year in pediatrics! In addition to taking care of children, she really enjoys teaching and training new physicians and physician assistants. She mentors residents from Nationwide Childrens and is affiliated with The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine and Ohio Dominican PA program. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Ohio State Medical Association, and Columbus Medical Association. She is married to Dr. Blaize O'Brien, an ENT physician. She has four adult children. All three daughters have ironically attended 'that school up north' and her son is at The University of Wisconsin. She enjoys cooking, playing tennis, reading and listening to books, and traveling. Many weekends are spent visiting her kids in Madison, Ann Arbor, NYC, and Chicago.

Dr. Emily Ferguson

Dr. Emily Ferguson

Pediatrician

Dr. Ferguson joined Olentangy Pediatrics in July 2011. After graduating magna cum laude from Miami University with a B.A. in Zoology, Dr. Ferguson earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She chose to do her pediatric residency at Nationwide Childrens Hospital for the unique opportunity to additionally train in a private pediatric practice.  She was blessed to have Dr. Irene Koesters as her mentor and when given the opportunity to join Olentangy Pediatrics she knew she was where she was meant to be. She loves helping care for a newborn all the way through adolescence, walking the journey of childhood alongside her patients families and navigating the many hurdles along the way. She has a particular interest in infectious diseases, which children provide plenty of. Outside of her work family, she enjoys her “mommy days” with her three children and husband, Collin. You may run into her out and about at local festivals, child sporting events, pickleball courts or Cypress Church.

Dr. Mitchell Camp

Dr. Mitchell Camp

Pediatrician

Dr. Camp joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2018. After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Education, he spent several years teaching Junior High Special Education. Dr. Camp returned to school, graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and earned his medical degree from Wright State University. He completed his pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He has three children with his wife, Andrea. In time away from the office, he enjoys time with family, being an avid Cleveland and OSU sports fan, and playing softball.

Dr. Jacqueline Nicodemo

Dr. Jacqueline Nicodemo

Pediatrician

Dr. Nicodemo joined Olentangy Pediatrics in April 2022. After attending OSU for her undergraduate degree, she earned a Masters in Anatomy and ultimately her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital, serving as a Chief Resident. She is married to Dr. Ryan Brinn, a Family Medicine physician, and together they have two children and a labradoodle rescue. She enjoys going on walks with her family and exploring local Columbus spots.

Dr. Rachel Pratt

Dr. Rachel Pratt

Pediatrician

Dr. Pratt joined Olentangy Pediatrics in September 2022. She grew up in Wisconsin and Indiana. After graduating summa cum laude from Butler University with a degree in Chemistry, she earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital. During residency, she also completed training to become a Certified Lactation Counselor. Dr. Pratt enjoys traveling, ballet, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers in her spare time. She and her husband Chris have one daughter and a rescue cat.

Dr. Claire Ackerman

Dr. Claire Ackerman

Pediatric Psychologist

Dr. Claire Ackerman is a pediatric psychologist specializing in integrated primary care. She joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2017. Dr. Ackerman graduated with a Psychology degree from the University of Delaware and earned her Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She completed her pediatric psychology internship and fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and was employed there for 9 years prior to joining the practice. She has conducted research in the areas of pediatric pain management and parenting children with food allergies. She is married to John, a clinical psychologist and suicide prevention manager at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Outside of the office, you will find her supporting her daughters in their passion for Irish dance, or exploring the outdoors, cooking, and traveling with her family.

Dr. Heather Guthrie

Dr. Heather Guthrie

Pediatric Psychologist

Dr. Heather Guthrie is a pediatric psychologist who joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2019. She originally graduated from OSU with a B.S. in education and taught high school for five years before returning to graduate school. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Akron. She worked in a community behavioral health center in Canton before moving back to Columbus and eventually joining Nationwide Children's Hospital to help develop the eating disorders program there. While at NCH, she also worked with the Behavioral Health crisis team, providing assessment and treatment for children and adolescents struggling with safety concerns and suicidal ideation. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets and loves being outdoors whenever possible.
