Dr. Maher is a graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and graduated cum laude. Dr. Maher completed her pediatric residency at Columbus Children's Hospital. She has practiced pediatrics in Columbus since the completion of her residency. She lives in the northwest Columbus area with her husband, William Maher, and is the mother of three grown children. Dr. Maher enjoys being involved with the postpartum support group (POEM) as well as the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio (DSACO). She is at the gym or reading a good book in her spare time.
Dr. Brown joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2001. After graduating cum laude with a degree in chemistry from Miami University, Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Brown is active at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a Private Pediatrician board member and serves on an advisory council. Dr. Brown is an avid golfer and a dedicated youth sports coach. He and his wife, Emily, are busy with their three children, ages 8, 12, and 14.
Dr. Koesters joined our medical practice in 2004. After graduating summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in biology, she attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine. She received her medical degree in 2001 and completed her residency at Columbus Children's Hospital. In addition to her wonderful practice, Dr. Koesters enjoys teaching medical residents and students. She has three lively, loving children and enjoys spending time outdoors with them. She is an ultra-marathoner and loves adventure.
Dr. O'Brien is a true Buckeye! Originally from Akron, she graduated from OSU in 1991 with a Biology degree and again in 1995 with her medical degree. She completed a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at OSU and Nationwide Children's Hospital in 1999. She worked as an internist and pediatrician at an OSU clinic in Grandview before joining our practice in 2009. She is married to Dr. Blaize O'Brien, an ENT physician. She has four adult children. All three daughters have ironically attended "that school up north" and her son is at The University of Wisconsin. She enjoys cooking, playing tennis, reading and listening to books, and traveling . Many weekends are spent visiting her kids in Madison, Ann Arbor, NYC, and Chicago.
Dr. Ferguson joined Olentangy Pediatrics in July 2011. After graduating magna cum laude from Miami University with a B.A. in Zoology, Dr. Ferguson earned her medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital and did part of her training here at Olentangy Pediatrics. She has three children of her own with her husband, Collin. In her small amount of free time, she loves playing sand volleyball.
Dr. Camp joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2018. After graduating from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Education, he spent several years teaching Junior High Special Education. Dr. Camp returned to school, graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and earned his medical degree from Wright State University. He completed his pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He has three children with his wife, Andrea. In time away from the office, he enjoys time with family, being an avid Cleveland and OSU sports fan, and playing softball.
Dr. Nicodemo joined Olentangy Pediatrics in April 2022. After graduating from OSU with a degree in Psychology, she earned a Masters in Anatomy and ultimately her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital, serving as a Chief Resident. She is married to Dr. Ryan Brinn, a Family Medicine physician, and together they have one daughter and a labradoodle rescue. She enjoys going on walks with her family and exploring local Columbus spots.
Dr. Pratt joined Olentangy Pediatrics in September 2022. She grew up in Wisconsin and Indiana. After graduating summa cum laude from Butler University with a degree in Chemistry, she earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital. During residency, she also completed training to become a Certified Lactation Counselor. Dr. Pratt enjoys traveling, ballet, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers in her spare time. She and her husband Chris have one daughter and a rescue cat.
Dr. Claire Ackerman is a pediatric psychologist who joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2017. After graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Delaware, Dr. Ackerman earned her Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She conducted research in the areas of pediatric pain management and parenting children with food allergies. She completed her pediatric psychology internship and fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She was then employed in Behavioral Health at the hospital prior to joining our practice to provide integrated behavioral health care. She is married to John, a Nationwide Children's Hospital clinical psychologist. Together they have two children, and she enjoys spending time crafting new recipes with them in the kitchen and exploring the outdoors.
Dr. Heather Guthrie is a pediatric psychologist who joined Olentangy Pediatrics in 2019. She originally graduated from OSU with a B.S. in education and taught high school for five years before returning to graduate school. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Akron. She worked in a community behavioral health center in Canton before moving back to Columbus and eventually joining Nationwide Children's Hospital to help develop the eating disorders program there. While at NCH, she also worked with the Behavioral Health crisis team, providing assessment and treatment for children and adolescents struggling with safety concerns and suicidal ideation. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets and loves being outdoors whenever possible.
